Frozen
The magic of Arendelle came to life for our Sharetix recipients as they attended a fantastic performance of Disney’s Frozen at the Hale Centre Theatre. From the sisterly bond between Elsa and Anna to the whimsical puppetry of Olaf, the show provided a perfect blend of spectacle and heart. This unforgettable evening was made possible by a generous donation from Mountain America Credit Union, whose commitment to community access ensures that world-class theater is available to all in our community. It was an evening of wonder that reminded us of the power of love and the importance of being true to oneself. Special thanks to Mountain America Credit Union for making this special event happen and Hale Centre Theatre for their support.
The true impact of this event is best captured by those who attended. Here is what some of our recipients had to say about their experience at Frozen:
“The theater production was incredible! I had never been to the new Hale Center Theater and my son and I were amazed at the set design and effects. We LOVED it.” – Amy
“The best part was hearing the audience gasp and clap as Elsa’s dress was transformed during Let it Go. I don’t know why but it brought tears to my eyes and surprised me how emotional I felt during the song. It was a great escape for a few hours. Thanks for that.” – Beth
“Being able to be together as a family and seeing the biggest smiles brought tears to my eyes.” – Stacey
“I want to be an actor, and I learned a lot about the different kinds of acting available in my community.”– Azure
“I wanted to take the opportunity to send an extra Thank You for this unique and special experience. I'm the director of a Teen Living Center and we house teens who are experiencing housing instability. My youth aren't troubled or struggling with drugs or alcohol, they are not criminals or behavior challenged; they are abused and abandoned, unsheltered and unseen, often working a fulltime job while trying to meet their basic needs and find a way to attend high school and graduate. Our Center provides safety and security, food and clothing and resources for school, and protection from the outside elements. But we know there is more to life, especially for a teenager, than food and shelter. A sense of normalcy and belonging is critical to the self-esteem and empowerment of a developing teen! Attending an event like Frozen at Hale Theatre, or some of the other events we have had opportunity to experience, offers a sense of inclusion and even acceptance; being able to talk about going to a well-known play, dress up, and of course take pictures, brings such joy and gives pause from the feelings of isolation and rejection these young teens so often deal with. Thank you for this program! Thank you for donating to this program! We, the beneficiaries, have had life changing experiences with an opportunity to see the goodness of people, to learn by immersion more about culture and sophistication, but most of all, to have FUN! - A.T.
