ODT’s Chicago Nights
Odyssey Dance Theatre delivered a great performance of Chicago Nights in April. Part of their acclaimed Shut Up and Dance series, this production brought the era of Prohibition, speakeasies, and gangsters to life through a fusion of jazz, tap, ballroom, and hip-hop. Our Sharetix recipients watched as the cast told the gritty stories of figures like Al Capone and Roxie Hart through unique choreography. From the sultry rhythms of the Jazz Age to the high-octane energy of a "Racketeering Rumble," the show was full of dances that captured 1920s Chicago. It was a memorable night of storytelling through movement that left our community energized by the sheer power of live dance!
