Daddy Long Legs
We enjoyed another wonderful night at the theatre seeing the new show, Daddy Long Legs. A charming musical with a twist of fate, it was hopeful, happy and full of surprises. Based on Jean Webster's beloved novel. Jerusha is the "oldest orphan in the John Grier Home" until a mysterious benefactor sends her to college. The only two stipulations, she can’t know who he is and she must write him about her experience every week. She makes up a personality for him and calls him “Daddy Long Legs” because she saw him walking away once. While in school, she makes friends with the wealthy brother of a fellow student. The way these three cross paths is delightful. Its unforgettable story-telling in the style of Jane Austen... By Gordon and Caird. Thank you Hale Centre Theatre for a great evening of theatre.

“It was our anniversary and this gave us an opportunity to have an amazing date night! We didn’t know anything about the play and had no expectations. We were surprised at how much we LOVED the story and the execution. The characters were endearing and the actors were phenomenal. I couldn’t believe only 2 people pulled off such an entertaining play! We laughed and cried and got lost in a romantic story. One of the best plays I’ve seen. I want to read the book now. THANK YOU!” - Rebecca
