Bulbs & Blooms
Spring has sprung at Red Butte. We enjoyed the beautiful display of more than half a million blooming bulbs, including some 250,000 daffodils. Almost every fall, Red Butte Garden volunteers and staff plant additional bulbs throughout the Garden, and now there are up to a colorful array of over 590,000 blooming bulbs! In addition to the daffodils, other flowers include Allium, Anemone, Calochortus, Camassia, Chionodoxa, Cyclamen, Erythronium, Fritillaria, Galanthus, Hyacinth, Hyacinthoides, Ipheion, Iris, Leucojum, Muscari, Scilla, Triteleia, and more. We also enjoyed blossoming trees, shrubs, and vines such as magnolia, flowering pear, crabapple, hawthorn, viburnum, wisteria, foxtail lily and lilac. What a wonderful way to spend the day. Thanks to our friends at the Garden for making these opportunities possible.
