The Lower Lights

Take one part “O Brother, Where Art Thou”, one part campfire folk music, one part candlelit concert, and one part stompy gospel revival, then mix it all up. Sprinkle in some wicked guitar/banjo/mandolin solos, a frontline of fantastic singers, and a pinch (or two) of the unexpected and that’s The Lower Lights. If you need a tidy genre, how about: gospel-folkbluegrass-icana? Or, more succinctly, “great music.” It was a fun evening of music as we listened to classic hymns, Hank Williams’ gospel tunes, old school country songs, Celtic ballads, even songs by Stevie Wonder and Dolly Parton. We enjoyed watching people clapping and singing along, even dancing in their seats and felt the way good music brings people together. Thank you Sandy Arts for a night of memories!
