The Little Mermaid - Sensory Friendly Performance

We were able to share tickets with special members of our Sharetix community to a sensory friendly performance of Hale Centre Theatre’s The Little Mermaid. Open to all who might have light or sound sensitivity, or a decreased ability to remain still or silent during the show- all guests were welcomed and felt comfortable moving about or speaking aloud with other families and patrons who understood this need. It was a wonderful opportunity for many in our Sharetix community to bring their families and experience such a colorful, exciting show. It was deeply meaningful.

Read some of the experiences from our ticket recipients below:

“The performance was so spectacular and professional. We see a fair amount of Junior high or High school performances but never anything of this quality. The special effects, costumes, actors, stage crew were phenomenal! I also appreciate the sensory performance. Tyson loves the theater but often gets excited and will squeal. It was so nice to be in an environment where it was ok to just let him be himself. Thank you for this amazing opportunity that we wouldn’t have been able to afford otherwise.” - Denise and Tyson

“The opportunity for a sensory friendly event for our autistic child.” - Liz

“My son loved the play. He doesn’t get to go many events like this.” - Shana

“We loved going to the sensory friendly showing of the Little Mermaid. It was very inclusive and we really appreciate it. The show was amazing as well.” - Chanae
