Guidelines for Performance Entry: PROOF OF COVID-19 VACCINATION OR NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST REQUIRED.

To ensure the health and safety of our audience members, performers, and staff, face masks will be required for all attendees at Utah Symphony | Utah Opera performances effective January 7, 2022.

  • All audience members ages 12 and older attending Utah Symphony or Utah Opera performances at Abravanel Hall and Janet Q. Lawson Capitol Theatre must show either proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 or a negative Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to entry.

  • Effective February 24, 2022, proof of Covid-19 vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test will be required for all patrons eligible for vaccination, including children ages 5 – 11.

  • Masks will be available at the door, as needed.

  • A valid photo ID must be presented along with proof of vaccination or negative Covid-19 test at the door.

  • Accepted forms of vaccine documentation include:

    • electronic vaccination record (for example, via the Docket mobile app)

    • physical vaccination card

    • photo of a vaccination card

  • “Full vaccination” means the final dose of the vaccine must have been administered at least 14 days prior to entry to the performance.

  • If presenting a negative Covid-19 test as an alternative to vaccination, the test must be dated within 72 hours of entry. Home tests will not be accepted.

Due to high demand for testing, the Utah Department of Health cannot provide testing for people attending events at state-run testing locations at the moment. The state is asking anyone needing testing for events to go to https://coronavirus.utah.gov/utah-covid-19-testing-locations/ and search for non-state sponsored testing locations.
