The Lower Lights is a collective of Utah-rooted musicians, each with their own respective projects and careers. Since their founding in 2009, the band has sold thousands of their Hymn Revival and Christmas albums.

A gospel-folk collective of Utah-rooted musicians breathing new life into classic hymns, country, ballads, and more. Take one part “O Brother, Where Art Thou”, one part campfire folk music, one part candlelit concert, and one part stompy gospel revival, then mix it all up. Sprinkle in some wicked guitar/banjo/mandolin solos, a frontline of fantastic singers, and a pinch (or two) of the unexpected and that’s The Lower Lights. If you need a tidy genre, how about: gospel-folk-bluegrass-icana? Or, more succinctly, “great music.” The band breathes vibrant new life into classic hymns, Hank Williams’ gospel tunes, old school country songs, Celtic ballads, even Stevie Wonder songs, and more.
