The day after Nicolo Fonte’s Carmina Burana closed in 2017, patrons were asking when Ballet West would stage it again. With an immense choir suspended over the ferocious choreography on stage, the reviews were outstanding: “Beautiful, gripping, and dynamic,” declared The Salt Lake Tribune.
The program will open with Jerome Robbins’ Glass Pieces, a showcase of the great choreographer’s expansive scope and streamlined style. The ballet captures the pulsating heartbeat of metropolitan life with its charged choreography, concluding in a finale that propels the corps de ballet across the stage at an electrifying pace. Ballet West is back to live with live music, featuring the Ballet West Orchestra! Recommended 5+ to attend. No babes in arms.
For the 2021/22 Season, face masks are required for all attendees, regardless of age or vaccination status.
